The injection Mold base is a collective term for the components that hold the cavity for a plastic injection mould and also serve as a primary link between the mould and the injection moulding machine. - Clamping plates

The runner acts as a passage into the mould base’s face. The gate is at the end of the runner system, which is intended to enable molten plastic to reach the cavity at the right speed and quantity to fill it in a disciplined way.
- Cavity Image
The cavity image represents the form of the final molded object when melted resin pours into the core and cavity plates. The cavity is loaded with the plastic resin that gives the item its final shape.
- Ejector Plate and Pins
The ejector plate is a movable component that aids in the removal of the molded product from the cavity. The plate has pins knowns as ejector pins attached to it that fit through the rest of the mould and gently push the final portion up. The plate holds the pins together, allowing them to lift all at once. At the end of the injection molding cycle, ejector pins are utilized to force or eject the final product from the mould.
Types of structures for plastic mold base
